Visit to the National Military Museum "Palace of the Rose"

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mrs. Dijana Ivancic, and the Director of the Military Museum of Belgrade Major Mile Mikovic, visited the National Military Museum "Palace of the Rose" in Tunis, where they met with Colonel Major Samir Chemi, Director of the Museum, and Commander Arbi Nekaiess, Head of the Heritage Division.

In a very cordial and friendly atmosphere, the participants reaffirmed the traditional friendship between Serbia and Tunisia, dating back to the First World War, and discussed preparations for the exhibition commemorating the 110th anniversary of the Serbian army's landing in Bizerte, which will take place in Tunis in January 2026. They emphasized the need to preserve the culture of remembrance and the importance of this shared episode in the history of Serbia and Tunisia, which brought our two countries and peoples closer together. Ambassador Ivančić and Major Miković emphasized that Serbia remembers the solidarity and humanity of the Tunisian people who helped it in the most difficult moments during World War I.

The interlocutors expressed their mutual determination to strengthen cooperation between our two countries, in the spirit of traditional ties of friendship.
