Serbian music at the El Jem International Festival of Symphonic Music

Ambassador Dijana Ivancic attended the Carthage Symphony Orchestra concert with the Ambassador of Tunisia to Serbia H.E. Mrs. Imen Laajili Ammari, which took place on August 12, 2025 as part of the prestigious El Jem International Festival of Symphonic Music.
The orchestra and choir, conducted by Mr. Hafedh Makni, performed the composition "Carthage meets Belgrade", arranged by the young talent Wassim Makni, which was part of the repertoire of the concert organized in March 2025 at the National Theatre in Belgrade, and which includes segments of the song "Tamo daleko" and the traditional dance "Moravac".
Ambassador Ivancic congratulated the conductor and all the members of the choir and orchestra for the extraordinary concert and performance of Serbian songs, while expressing her great gratitude for their efforts and significant contribution to better understanding and bringing our two peoples and cultures closer together.
