Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Tunisia H.E. Mrs. Dijana Ivancic met with the Secretary General of the Municipality of Menzel Bourguiba Mrs. Sameh Arfaoui and the Director for international cooperation Mrs. Khaoula Bejaoui.

In a cordial atmosphere and in the spirit of the traditional friendship between Serbia and Tunisia, the interlocutors discussed cooperation within the Framework Agreement for Cooperation between the Municipality of Bajina Basta and Municipality of Menzel Bourguiba, signed in 2022, as well as opportunities for its further improvement, including exchange of visits by the two delegations and participation in cultural events, with the aim of bringing the two people and cultures closer together.

They also discussed the renovation of the Serbian military cemetery in Menzel Bourguiba, which dates back to the First World War. Secretary General Mrs. Arfaoui expressed the readiness of the Municipality of Menzel Bourguiba to provide the necessary assistance within the Municipality’s capabilities.
