Interview of Ambasssador Dijana Ivancic on the occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, 15th February 2024

Ambassador Dijana Ivancic met with the Director General of Tourisme Info Mr. Afif Kchouk on Wednesday 14th February 2024 for giving an interview about the bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Tunisia, with a particular focus on the cooperation in field of tourism. The interview was published on the occasion of the Statehood day of the Republic of Serbia.


Ambassador Ivancic emphasized traditionally friendly and close relations between Serbia and Tunisia, which go back to the period of the First World War and the Non-Aligned Movement. She presented tourism in Serbia as well as perspectives for its development. At the end of the interview she spoke about possibilities for development and promotion of the cooperation in the field of tourism between two countries. Interlocutors agreed that there is a large potential on both sides and that a mutual work on promotion of touristic offers is necessary. Ambassador Ivancic informed Mr. Kchouk that 45th International Tourism Faire will be held in Belgrade from 22nd to 25th February 2024 and that our Minister of Tourism and Youth H.E. Mr. Husein Memic addressed an invitation letter to his Tunisian colleague to participate in this event, which is an occasion for two delegations to meet each other and discuss about development of the bilateral cooperation.


Director General Mr. Kchouk expressed a great pleasure and interest to continue a cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tunis and publication of articles about tourism in Serbia, as well as his readiness to contribute to the promotion of the cooperation in this field between our two friendly countries.
