On April 20 and 21 of this year, Ambassador Dijana Ivančić was on a two-day tour to the Northwest region of Tunisia, which was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad for the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited in Tunisia, with the aim of promoting cultural and economic wealth and cultural heritage of Tunisia.
The travel program included several visits to archaeological and historical monuments of culture, such as the archaeological site of Dougga in Beja, which is registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Sidi Boumakhlouf in Kef and Bulla Regia in Jendouba. They also visited the international sports complex in Ain Draham, the training and vacation center in Beni Mtir and the sports complex in a hotel in Tabarka, as well as two agricultural farms in Toukaber and Salouguia.
At the dinner, the host Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Nabil Ammar thanked the ambassadors who responded to the invitation and emphasized Tunisia's interest in developing bilateral cooperation with their countries. On the second day of the tour, the ambassadors were joined by the State Secretary in the Ministry H.E. Mr. Mounir Ben Rjiba, together with the Director General of the Export Promotion Center and the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency.
The Ambassadors had the opportunity to learn about the specificities of these sites as well as the rich civilisational and cultural heritage of Tunisia.
